Here's a great shot of some of wonderful Kapa Haka group who will be performing on Friday and appearing in the Timaru Herald this week. Please note that there is no assembly this week as Matariki is on and the school hosts the other local schools for a hangi lunch, run by the local Marae. Parents are welcome to watch the performances over at the High School hall. Our Kapa Haka group, coached by Miss Direen will be performing around 11am but it would pay to be there earlier to watch as times can change. After the performances everyone will come over to Waimate Main School for a hangi lunch and to look at the children’s art display in the hall. Lunch will be served round 1pm. There will be no hot lunches this day.
