Academic Coordinators
For parents of Year 11, 12 and 13 students. If your teen intends to pass NCEA Level 1 they will need to achieve 80 or more credits, for Level 2 and 3 they will need to achieve 60 or more credits.
If
your teen intends to pursue tertiary study in the future, then they
will need to get University Entrance. An important component of this is that
they have 5 credits in approved Level 2 Reading standards and 5 more in approved Level 2 Writing standards. These standards do not necessarily have to be in an English
class.
If your
teen intends to endorse the year with Excellence or Merit, then they
will need 50 credits or above at Merit or Excellence level.
