The commencement of Term 4 was an exciting time for the staff and students in the Physical Education department with the completion of the new superdome during the vacation period.

Associate Deputy Principal and former HOD of PE Mr Gus Shirley, and the current head of PE Mr Nathan Chippendale are both claiming naming rights to this facility, little do they know someone else may already have laid claim.

This project jointly funded by the Waimea College Board of Trustees and the Ministry of Education saw a section of our tennis courts astroturfed and then partially covered by a PVC high tensile membrane.
