The PPTA has advised the Waimea College Board of Trustees that teachers at our school will be taking strike action on Thursday 16 March 2023 as part of nationally approved industrial action.

The Board has carefully considered the availability of teaching staff, and we advise that school will remain open for instruction, however we request parents make alternative arrangements where possible. Limited supervision will be available on request. Please contact the Office by Monday 13 March if your teenager will be attending on this day. This includes Special Education and OnTrack students.

The school bus service will not operate on Thursday 16 March.

Teacher Only Day - Monday 24 April 2023 (Nelson Marlborough Region)

We'd also like to take this opportunity to give you advance notice of the upcoming NCEA Accord Teacher Only Day on Monday 24 April. This is the day before ANZAC day when the College is also closed, effectively making Wednesday 26 April the first day of Term 2.
