A very warm welcome to the 2023 school year.  I trust you had a relaxing summer vacation and are feeling refreshed and recharged for the new school year ahead.

We look forward to welcoming each of our students as you return to Waimea College for 2023. I would also like to acknowledge the students, parents and caregivers who are new to Waimea College and will join us for the first time this year. A very warm welcome to our school community!

To help your teen prepare for 2023, please:

• Familiarise yourself with the important dates and information contained in this newsletter regarding the start of the school year,
• Download the SchoolBridge App for the easiest way to link to the portal, receive notifications, report absences and more. You can download now from the Apple App Store or Google Play or by scanning this QR Code. You can also access the SchoolBridge platform online using any browser.
• Familiarise yourself with the emergency information on the Waimea College website which outlines how we will work to keep your teen safe and how we will communicate with you during an emergency or school closure event.
