Hayley Roper —

Welcome to Term 4, a busy and important term to wrap up the year.

We had a lovely evening at the end of Term 3 to farewell two of our International Students who returned home in the holidays. The evening was a lovely dinner out for the host families and students. It was also a great way to remind our host families how much we have appreciated them this past year with all the challenges they and their students have faced.

It was nice to hear from our two students Thee and Erika who were leaving us about the great experiences they have had in their time here at Waimea College over the last three years.

Thank you to Ms Henaghan for organising a pizza lunch, it was a wet and rainy day so we all enjoyed tasty warm pizza inside our ESOL class.

While some key events have had to be cancelled this term the students and staff at International are determined to finish the year in a positive way. We are looking forward to November when we celebrate our students last year with us at our Farewell evening, and our annual Christmas on the Beach, which is always a highlight for everyone.

Some of our students graduating from Waimea will have been with us for five years so it will be an emotional time as we say goodbye. Thank you to everyone who makes these things happen!
