Thanks to all staff and students that contributed to the success of our first two camps this year.

Our Year 9 Camps at Rotoiti Lodge in the Nelson Lakes National Park encourage students to develop positive social interactions and to challenge themselves mentally and physically.  You can read more about the camp at www.rotoitilodge.co.nz and on our school website at https://www.waimea.school.nz/learning-at-waimea/year-9-camp/

The cost of the camp is $300 which does not include an activity fee for rafting. If your student wishes to take advantage of the Buller River rafting trip offered by Ultimate Descents on the Buller River this will cost an additional $120. As we understand that this is a substantial amount of money to be paid, we encourage you to contact the Finance Centre on extension 815 or email accounts@waimea.school.nz to discuss setting up an automatic payment to cover this cost. Families worried that financial hardship that may prevent their child attending camp are also encouraged to contact the Finance Centre as early as possible in the year to discuss this.

Information specific to the camp that your child will attend will be made available in the weeks leading up to the date.
