COMPETITION TIME

Calling Year 9 and 10 keen readers!

The Year 9 Readers’ Cup Competition begins later this term and we want to defend our winning title. This is a reading competition where teams of 4 to 5 students read a set of six books, and then compete with other school teams to answer quiz questions about each book. The winning teams from each region then compete at the national finals. It’s great fun with the chance to win lots of prizes.

New for 2022 is the Year 10 competition, Battle of the Bibliophiles. Teams of 6 students compete online to answer 100 questions about 15 books. Teams must register by March 11 and book titles will be released on this date.

To register your interest or for more information, email Library@waimea.school.nz or speak to a Librarian.
