Microbusiness
Mr McKean’s Transition students are studying Microbusiness as part of adding to their skills for life after College.
They chose to make organic dog treats, so researching recipes, shopping for ingredients, deciding price points and marketing was all part of the unit. Students worked extremely well as a team and Chey used the cookie cutter independently to make the individual bone shapes.
All dogs involved in the trials showed tail wagging approval!

Basketball
After a rigorous trial, Ms Roberts and Mrs Ingham chose the Tornadoes Basketball Team.
They finished off their basketball season with a two-day tournament in Greymouth against Papanui High School and Mr Book’s team from Allenvale.
Students represented Waimea College proudly and had some nail bitingly close games against old rivals! Big thanks to Probands who donated a classy team strip.
