WIS COLOUR RUN CROSS COUNTRY

What a successful day for the WIS Colour run last Thursday, the sun was out, field was dry and the kids were out there giving it their best. Lots of colourful students crossed the line which was great to see.

Here are the top 3 runners in each grade

Yr7 Girls - 1st Summer Clarke, 2nd Eloise Gardner, 3rd Maddison Tolson

Yr7 Boys - 1st Nate Walker, 2nd Levi Kernot, 3rd Luca Blakeborough

Yr8 Girls - 1st Hazel Hunt, 2nd Meg Inwood, 3rd Holly Salmon-Mahrla

Yr8 Boys - 1st Eli Sinclair, 2nd Nic Gill, 3rd Ashton Calveley 

The top 20 runners in each race have now qualified to the NISSA Interschool Cross Country Relays and Cross Country. 

The first being the NISSA Cross Country Relays which is happening on Friday 16th June at Isel Park. WIS runners will be placed into groups of four to go and compete against the other Intermediate schools in Nelson.

The second event is the Interschool Cross Country held at Rabbit Island, this is a hard fun course with everything that a good cross country needs to challenge yourself. This will be taking place on Friday 30th June

WINTER TOURNAMENT

NISSA Top Of The South Winter Tournament is taking place in Term 3 week 6 on Thursday 24th August and Friday 25th August.

Sign ups for sports teams will start this week and trials will be run before the end of this term, they need to listen to the daily notices each morning telling them when and where to sign up.

Here are the sports your child can trial for:

Badminton, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Table Tennis, Volleyball

We only send one team per sport for this.

Head out to Rabbit Island on Sunday 11th June to take part in the Nelson/Tasman Schools Orienteering.

10am - 1pm, Rabbit Island start at Conifer Park
