Waimea College Adult & Community Education
Enrolments are open for term one Waimea College Adult and Community Education courses which run through the months of Feb to Apr 2020. Up to forty courses are on offer to adults through a programme which includes Cooking, Computing & Technology, Languages, Art & Creativity, Health & Wellbeing, Home & Garden, Singing & Music, held at Waimea College. Drawing Classes
We are really excited at ATELIER Studio|Gallery to be offering after school drawing classes in 2020 for 12 – 17 year olds. These classes will be focusing on developing and extending the students drawing skills at a pace and level that suits the individuals learning.
The classes will be run every Wednesday from 4:00– 5:30pm during term time.

Ministry of Inspiration

Moon Workshop
MOI is also working with the Nelson Provincial Museum to deliver a ‘Moon’ workshop with Duncan Steele, at the museum on 23 January from 10-4. Learn how craters are formed and make some real ‘impact’ art!

Ministry of Inspiration - Save the Dates
INSPIRE Festival 2020: 3-4 September at Nelson College for Girls. INSPIRE is a STEAMS festival for youth in
Years 5-8 in which students determine what courses they will attend. Courses
have included: movie making, virtual reality, dissections, brain research, and
game theory.
Junior Philosophy Conference: 12 August at Nayland
College. This is for Years 7-10. Designed for thinking...the full programme can

NZAquaBots Competition: 8 November at the Richmond
Aquatics Centre. Teams of students build underwater tethered ROVs to compete in
a themed challenge. Students should start building no later than August.
