The uniform has been modified over time to meet parent and student needs. It is designed to be comfortable, appealing and to allow for active movement. All items are unisex. It is to be worn correctly with no non-uniform or alternative items such as other jackets/hoodies.

Compulsory items

* Short Sleeve Top  Black and red sports top (available from NZ Uniforms)

* Shorts  Black sports shorts (available from NZ Uniforms) or plain black, elastic waist shorts. 

Plain black Track Pants or plain black Tights with no obvious label can be worn as an alternative to shorts.

Footwear 

Laced sports shoes or plain black leather shoes or plain black or brown sandals with back strap.  Plain ankle socks.

Students must have closed shoes for Technology classes and shoes that are appropriate for sport/PE everyday.  Most students wear sports shoes and ankle socks of their choice each day.

Sunhat
A sunhat or cap of your choice must be worn outdoors in Terms 1 and 4.

Optional items:

School Hoodie Black and red WIS Hoodies are available from NZ Uniforms.

Please note it is important to write your child's full name inside the hoodie, even if you are having the name printed on the back. We have several 'James' - first and last name - and finding owners is very tricky. Also, inappropriate nicknames should not be printed on the back of the hoodies.

Jackets  

A red and black jacket is available for purchase from NZ Uniforms. Alternatively, any plain black puffer jacket may be worn outside only, as an optional winter choice.

Other

A plain black short or long sleeved polyprop top may be worn under uniform tops in the winter months. Rain jackets may be worn on wet days.

Students are permitted to wear plain single ear studs or sleepers, a watch, and a pendant inside clothing if it has some cultural or sentimental significance.

No other jewellery or visible body piercing is permitted except for medic alert bracelets.
