Fed up with takeaways and unhealthy food? We have got the solution for you! Let’s get cooking, is Waimea Intermediate School’s very own food bag!

It’s easy enough for the kids to make, because it’s designed by kids! Simply fill in the order form and get your child to pick up your food bag at the school canteen at 2:50pm on Friday 20th August. Each food bag feeds a family of four, for only $25!

On the menu this week is… Beef strip soft shell tacos, served with coleslaw and rice. Yum!

Thank you for supporting this inaugural food bag initiative. The concept is part of our Young Apprentice module, to encourage students to cook healthy meals for their family. Thanks to Pic from Peanut Butter World, for the use of The Food Factory. This is a local commercial kitchen where the food preparation will be carried out by students. All health and safety precautions will be followed to ensure you receive a delicious and safe to eat food bag.
