If your child is likely to catch a school bus at any stage this year, please register them as soon as possible.

In 2026, any Year 8 students coming from Wakefield may continue to use the school bus as they have in 2025.

Year 7 students coming from Wakefield or beyond will need to contact Nelson Coachlines 03 548 1539 as there are the following conditions for transport:

• If there is space available on the service,

• Permission from Wakefield School to travel, and

• Register and sign a T&C form, then pay the fee (approximately $800).

Students who live more than 3.2 Km away from their nearest school are eligible for the free school bus service. If you are eligible to travel on a bus, please fill out the Google Form

On the first day of school, we meet with bus students to help them find the correct after-school bus. For the first couple of weeks of the school year, students line up in bus lines to board the buses until they become familiar with where their bus parks.

If your child plans to catch the bus on the first morning of school, please see the bus maps by following the above link. The bus will only stop at the designated places identified on the Bus Routes 2026.
