Guidelines

• Choose one of the THREE PROVIDED IMAGES to motivate you to write a text.(These will be in school newsletters.)

• Any text type (poem, description, characterisation, a moment in time, advertisement, instructions, letter, short story, email…).

• It must be your original writing.

• A maximum of 200 WORDS, not including the title.

• Handwritten or typed.

• Hand a hard copy to Miss P. in Room 3 by 3 pm, Friday, Week 5. Have this entry form stapled to it please.

• You may only enter once.

• All short-listed students will receive an award.

• The winner will receive a cup to keep at home for a term.

Judging Criteria

• Vocabulary and phrases/sentences

• How interesting/creative/original

• Does the writing link to the chosen image?

• How well edited: spelling/punctuation/paragraphing/meaning/ vocabulary/grammar
