Welcome to WIS Netball 2018. WIS netball is about enjoying the game and improving as a team player

Every student who wishes to play netball is placed into a team –nobody misses out!

The season starts on Saturday 5 May with semi finals and play offs on 04 August and finals (just for 1v2) on 11 August. Teams need to be registered with a coach and manager well before this so we like to be organised early!

Please complete this form before Friday 16 February in order for selectors to best organise the trials. The trials are run by experienced, independent netball enthusiasts with the aim of placing you into a team of people with a similar ability where there is room for leaders and learners. We want you to have fun and improve both your netball skills and your team sports values - being the best you can be and supporting your team mates to do the same.

Subs are $95 for the season which includes uniform, bibs, balls and Nelson Netball fees and are due before Monday 30 April

All our WIS netball players and their parents agree to respect the decisions made by selectors, coaches and referees and commit to attending all trainings and games. They give their best effort for the team, no matter which position they play in and respect and support their team mates and coach.

All teams MUST have both a coach and a manager in order to play. Coaches are well supported by Nelson Netball with information and training opportunities. Managers are a point of contact for players and parents and may be asked to help record information but do not need netball knowledge. Parents, caregivers, grandparents, older siblings, family and friends – we need you!!

There are no representative teams for intermediate grade players. 8A, 8B and 7A represent the school at Winter tournament and teams have the option of entering the pre season Geraldine Hogdson Tournament if their coach organises it.

Teams will be up on the school noticeboard by Monday 26 March and are not changed once announced.
