Remember that day when dad was mowing the lawns and fell down the bank?
Remember when he didn't want help, and thought he could do it himself?
That was summer
Remember when we walked down to the dairy and wanting to buy some lemonade?
Remember when we forgot the money, so we had to walk all the way home?
That was summer
Remember forgetting to put on sunscreen on those long hot days?
Remember Mum yelling at us because we were very burnt?
Do you remember eating the burnt sausages from the BBQ?

Remember hearing the putt... putt... VROOM of the tractor as it chugged along?
Remember smelling the stink of cows in the hot sun?
That was summer
Remember the glossy pelt of the river and its silky relief from the sun?
Remember feeling the whoosh of air and the whoops and yells from others using the rope swing into the river?
That was summer.
Remember the cracking sound, "TIMBER" and the smell of freshly chain sawed wood?
Remember eating sandwiches with fresh ingredients with family?
Do you remember making up different ways to spit water, like sprinkler, dragon's breath and jet with the cousins?
