Students learn best when connections are made between learning areas and to everyday life and experiences. The New Zealand Curriculum confirms this and forms the basis for our Waimea Intermediate curriculum design.

Our aim is to help students develop as learners, achieve potential and become positive informed and contributive citizens.

Intermediate years are a time of experiment and change. Our aim is to offer a wide range of experiences for students to trial, while allowing them to pursue some of these in greater depth. There would be very few days when our notices don't advertise a new opportunity!

Staff and leadership are always available to discuss a student's progress, or any concerns parents may have. We value the prompt resolution of concerns, and parents are encouraged to contact their child 's teacher if necessary.
