Help please 💻️

Those of you with an interest in computing may know that Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 in October this year.

This little message is me wondering if your workplace or organisation is thinking of updating your laptops and what you might do with your end-of-life ones if they can’t be upgraded to windows 11.  I’m looking for a large set of matching windows 10 laptops that might be looking for another life before being recycled.  I can change the operating system and use them for quite a while longer in our workshop running our design software.

I’m not looking for one off machines, but a bulk lot of identical laptops in “too good to throw out” condition- 10 or more.  If your work might have something please contact me at freeit@waimeaint.school.nz .

I am also on the lookout for an older iPhone that is looking for a new home.  It must be a XR or SE (second gen) or later and capable of running the latest IOS (18). But if you have one in a drawer, and you are wondering what to do with it, I’d love to hear from you too.
