In the Governments 2019 budget, it was announced that 'Decile 1-7' schools could decide to opt into a scheme annually which would see schools forego asking for voluntary donations or activity fees in lieu of receiving funding of $150 for each student. As a school (that was previously designated as a decile 7), we have chosen to opt into this scheme. What this means for our school community is that we will no longer be asking for parent voluntary donations, or charging for any in school curriculum related activity, consumable, or swimming instruction fees.

There are a few items that are exempt from this scheme. These are:

• School camp donations

• Ski Trips

• Visiting drama or music groups

The money we receive goes directly to supporting our boards budget investment with teacher aide learning support for our children's learning both in and outside the classroom, and the different trips that teams organise over the year.
