Donovan Bixley, a Taupō artist and published author, popped in to chat with Ahi to share his knowledge of how he creates a book.

Back in February when the weather was warm and friendly, Donovan Bixley a famous local artist and published author, visited us to gain insight into a day in the life of a junior student at school. 

Today we had the pleasure of hosting Mr Bixley again and hearing about how his journey from simple sketch drawings in his book turned into a delightful and fun-filled picture book. We could even see some similarities and characteristics of our space and school.

We are so proud to have been a part of Donovan's journey to create a book to help and support new learners in school.
