The Power of Circles

Tim Calvert —

Circling back to how versatile circles can be!

Waipāhīhī has recently reacquainted itself with circles, and it's amazing how a simple geometric shape can help hearts connect, minds expand, and understanding flourish in the classroom:

Icebreaker / Learning Circle – where learners can share their perspective and exchange ideas via a fun activity.

Dialogue Circle - where topics and ideas intertwine to create rich conversation and meaning.

Decision Making Circle – where voices unite and co-construct expectations and teamwork.

Restorative / Healing Circle – a safe space where harm is healed and a path forward is forged.

Community Building Circle – a celebration of what we have in common and the bonds that unite us all.
