Tī Kōuka Whānau Group

Amanda Bentley —

Whānau time is every Tuesday from 11-12pm.

The Tī kōuka whānau group is very fortunate in the way they are based in Ōtākaro and have many opportunities to use the 'Learning Through Play' equipment. The tamariki often build with the outdoor materials, dress up in the costumes, use the crafts equipment and play games with items such as the mini table tennis table, the scooters and the ten pin bowling. One Tuesday Whaea Jenny brought in her amazing robots. The students practised their skills in programming and proved they are experts at sharing the equipment and turn-taking.

Check out the photos of Tī Kōuka during some of their whānau times.
