Working Hard in Wai-iti
The Wai-iti team are right into the swing of things with learning to self manage and collaborate.
This term there have been a few changes to the way we are learning. The children are having to put their self managing skills into play by collaborating and communicating effectively with others and their teachers. You may have heard from your child about our 'Action Stations'. These are done when the children are not in a teaching session or having to complete a follow up activity in Reading, Writing and Maths. There are a range of games, hands on activities and independent activities available to cater to all of the children. Children choose activities that are best suited to their needs and they are encouraged to challenge themselves, work with others, care for equipment and begin to take responsibility for their learning.
It has been great to see the children using the key characteristics throughout all their learning and learn what it is to be a self manager.
