A long-serving staff member, Jenny Pringle, is stepping back from teaching. This is a message from Jenny in her own words.

It's quite a hard decision to stop teaching because I love my job, the children, you and people in our community. Teaching is and has been a very significant part of my life. I am thinking of all the positive things and new opportunities there will be in the future! I think this was the 106th time of starting a new term at Wairakei School for me! (I started in 1995 which was the last year in NZ for the three term year). 

You will notice that I have NOT used the "R" (retire) word - it seems inappropriate to me - as though you're about to blob out from the world in which we live. That's not my intention. It has been so lovely to have a term to take my stuff home and say my goodbyes. Thank you so much for being wonderful, caring people. This term is FLYING by!
