Christine is a very experienced teacher who is returning to teaching after some time away from the classroom. We look forward to having her expertise and energy in Otakaro.

Changes in the Otakaro team

Gin Wallace has been appointed as Acting Team Leader. She will still be in the learning space teaching for the majority of her time but will have one day out of the classroom every fortnight to complete some of these management duties. Please continue to direct any general questions and concerns first to your child’s kaitiaki teacher and then to Gin if you need extra assistance. We also welcome back Bridget Watson to Otakaro. She will be working part time to replace Lisa who has been releasing teachers for their non-contact time and leadership release. Bridget is a familiar face at Wairakei as three of her four children attend here, and she also sits on our Board of Trustees.

These teachers join the existing team of Gin Wallace, Nicola Bird and Jenny Pringle.
