At the beginning of Term 4 we were fortunate to have 2 amazing University of Canterbury teacher trainees working in our learning space.

Having teacher trainees working in a school is common place and they are a valuable part of our team when they join us. Both the teachers and the tamariki were indeed sad to see Maddi and Hayley finish up last week. However, they both had very successful placements and the whole team particularly loved their skills in taking whole team dance for fitness classes. Each morning we all gathered in the hall while Maddi and Hayley lead us with their innovative dance moves. We all had an absolute blast and managed to get our heart rates up!!!

On their last day, Maddi and Hayley gave the class many practical items to go into the goodie box. A highlight was a Pokemon book, which will be lent to amazing students during silent reading times for recognition of working well. 

As a celebration we finished with ice-blocks outside and a whole class game.
