Scooters and bikes within the school grounds
As we had a few near misses with children scootering inside the school grounds, we now have a focus on revisiting the rules of scootering and biking.
Our tamariki have been sharing the attached social story as part of their PB4L learning.
In the future, we plan on having a "scooter path" from the gates as part of our property redevelopment to help our tamariki practise sharing pedestrian spaces. In the meantime, we thank you for your support in helping to teach our children that once inside the green gates, they walk their scooter, bike or skateboard.
We would encourage you to support us also, by letting us know of any child that may not be following the social story prompts. We can follow up within school.
