Reminder - teachers are available for meetings with parents and caregivers.
Our staff are always available to have respectful conversations about your child's learning and behaviours
As you will be aware, our teachers are at school anytime from 7:15am until well after 5:00pm planning and preparing for the amazing learning experiences our children get.
Please remember to make appointments either through the office or directly with the staff member you would like to meet through their email address. The best times are usually after school hours, avoiding Tuesdays and Wednesdays where possible, as these are dedicated to staff meetings and professional learning.
We do value the conversations we have with parents and the children during planned meeting times. Please remember. It is not appropriate to have a meeting / conversation about your child, or another child in any learning space where others can hear. Teaching time is precious, so cannot be interrupted for impromptu conversations. However if a meeting is planned during these times, we can accommodate this through a temporary redistribution of staff or change in programme.
There is a Code of Conduct you have all received regarding appropriate behaviours in the school grounds, which also happens to be a workplace for the staff employed. Our teachers are professionals and as such are to be afforded the respect that this deserves - our Board of Trustees are responsible for the Health and Safety of our staff, as well as the children.
Unfortunately, we have recently had some parents take it on themselves to talk to another child about a behaviour issue. This is not appropriate. If you have a concern, please talk to your child's teacher at an appropriate time.
