The much awaited Annual Wairakei School Athletics Day was held on Wednesday 25th October.

The fantastic turnout from the parents, extended whanau and the pleasant weather were the perfect boost for the students.  The students entered into the spirit of the occasion with lots of cheering and tons of encouragement for each other.  The day ended with our sprint finals and long distance races.  It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all.  

There will be 32 students from the Wairere team attending our NW Zone athletics this year.  We wish them well in all of their events.  Meanwhile enjoy the snapshot of our athletics day.
