For Writing in Wairere we have been looking at what it means to create a vivid image of something we are describing. What better way to do this than using popcorn to inspire descriptive writing!
We had great fun cooking up popcorn and watching it explode from the pan. Tamariki used the five senses to describe the popcorn. They listened, looked, smelt, felt and even tasted the popcorn. Their next task was to turn their fabulous ideas into a descriptive paragraph.
