On Monday two brilliant basketball teams represented Wairakei School at the North West Zone tournament.

Both teams competed in a round robin tournament playing six, ten minute games. They showed wonderful skill, development and perseverance throughout the day. 

There were some wins and loses. Even though the results didn't quite go their way, both teams definitely played to the best of their ability, and fought hard until the last whistle blew!
