Recently the children from Timatanga Hau and Otakaro ran in the Junior Cross Country.

We had an excellent turn out from parents and the wider community on the day - what a shame there wasn't time for a parent and teacher race!

The children had been working hard with their running, especially to pace themselves so they had energy to complete the whole run.

Congratulations to the following children who ran so fast they came 1st, 2nd or 3rd:

Year 1 Girls - Grace, Isabella and Georgia

Year 2 Girls - Faith, Shana and Emilie 

Year 1 Boys - Phoenix, Ethan and Donald

Year 2 Boys - Toby, Bryce and Magnus

Samantha, Aston and Kymia got special awards for displaying the Wairakei Characteristics during the cross country.
