Sharing Indian food today was a great way to celebrate our learning about India. A big thankyou to all the wonderful parents who were able to bring food and help out in the kitchen.
For the last 5 weeks Wairere have been learning about India.
We have taken a virtual trip to New Delhi and compared the landscape with Christchurch via Google satellite maps. We have had fun practising some Hindi greetings and numbers, trying on saris, painting our hands with henna, even Bollywood style dancing! We also explored the traditions and festivals of India. Everyone particularly enjoyed the story of Diwali, some of us had experienced the Festival of Lights already.
Next term we will be learning about Korea and Samoa.
