1st Place Junior Haka at Tuhono 2017 by Shane Buckner
Shane Buckner — September 28, 2017
Very proud children, parents, teachers and tutors watched as Lewis accepted the Junior Haka Trophy on behalf of our Ropu at the recent Tuhono kapa haka competition.
Last week, our Kapa Haka Ropu competed at the Tuhono Kapa Haka competition being held at Hillview School.
Again, they performed amazingly, having won the Waiata trophy last year.
We are so very proud of the way the children represent our kura when performing. The support we have from parents in helping to prepare children before performances, with altering and cleaning the uniforms, and helping transport to the many performances they do during the year.
A huge thanks to Matua Sonny and Whaea Tui, who do so much more in our kura for our children.
