The superheroes - Ashlin and Amie by Corinna Brook
Corinna Brook — March 3, 2017
This week we had a visit from Captain Cashtastic (Amie from ASB Getwise) who helped our Wairakei learners become cash clever.
Captain Cashtastic taught the Otakaro team about coins/dollars, how to save, share and spend, and the difference between a need and a want.
Our Wai-iti team became "cashletes" ready to take on the issues of spending. They learned about different forms of money, earning money by chores, and the value of patience and smart-thinking with the Shop Around challenge.
The older learners in the Wairere team learned about different ways to earn money, interest, and budgeting (otherwise known as the Get what you want plan).
A big thanks to Amie from ASB Getwise. Our Wairakei learners had lots of fun learning about money.
