First of all we say gomabseubnida, Thank you. 고맙습니다
To start this term the Wairere team have been given a glimpse into the Korean language, history & culture, traditional dance and songs, traditional games and also a delightful taste of Korean food too.
The students and adults have enjoyed real life experiences taught by our lovely Korean helpers Dorothy, Amy, Angela, Carol and Sungwoon. A special gomabseubnida to Insuk Park our resident ESOL teacher who organised the helpers for our students.
The students are enjoying the real life experiences presented by our wonderful Korean helpers. They have learnt simple greetings, writing their names using Korean characters. Also growing their knowledge of Korea history and the country. The students enjoyed completing the puzzles. This led into preparing, cooking and then tasting Korean food. The students gulped the food down. Who said my child doesn't eat vegetables. They were inspired to learn a traditional Korean song and dressing up in traditional clothing. As we know, all students like to play and what better way to finish than to play traditional Korean games. A truly wonderful end to a fantastic experience about Korea. Enjoy looking at our snapshots.
