Term 2 newsletter

Welcome to the Wai-iti (Middle) Learning Community

Year 3 & 4 2017

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to Term 2. We hope you have all had a safe and happy holiday and ready for a busy term. We are so thrilled to be in our beautiful new learning space with some amazing new furniture. Come in and have a look.

Uniform

Last Term we had lots of lost property. Can you please make sure all clothing is clearly labelled. Also a reminder that we do have a uniform and that it needs to be worn correctly. If you are short on any pieces of uniform there are some second hand items available at the office. Also a reminder that hats are to be kept at home for Terms 2 and 3.

Teaching

We welcome Ruth Grey who is filling in for Cindy Bearman while she is away with University commitments throughout the term.

Assemblies

Whole school assemblies will now return to every second Friday (starting week 2) in the hall. Team assemblies will be every other Friday in the Wai-iti space. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to both.

Spelling

This will be starting this Term with new words going home on Monday and being tested on Friday. Children will have activities to complete with their spelling words in school time but practising at home along with daily reading is recommended.

Linc- Ed

Hopefully you have logged on and have seen the wonderful work your child produced last term. Please contact the office if you have not been able to log on, or have changed your email address or email alice.harris@wairakeichch.school.nz .
