2017 Leaver's Dinner and Prizegiving

The hall looked resplendent transformed into a dining lounge dressed in gold, silver and sparkling lights, table settings you could find at the best restaurants, and an excitement in the air. During the day, this transformation came about because of some hard work from a group of absolutely brilliant people who have a real creative ability. Thanks to Jacqui Porter, Jenny Hey, and parents Vicky, Erna and Bridget who made this look so beautiful.

The children were the centre of attention, and after a beautiful 2 course dinner, the parents and whanau arrived to share in the celebrations.

Speeches from Mr Buckner, Principal; Mr Pethig, Chairperson and student representatives, Anneke and James all added to the ceremony of the event. Presentations of trophies and certificates were awarded and all children received their graduation certificates and Leaver's TShirt.

The evening finished with the leavers singing to the audience "It's a Long Way" and Feliz Navidad.

What an absolutely brilliant way to finish their Year 1-6 primary education!
