Mr. Stephen Briscoe —

Kia ora Whānau

As we reach Week 7 of Term 3, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our achievements so far and to look ahead at what’s still to come. This term has been marked by outstanding efforts across all areas of school life.

The North Otago Pasifika Cluster FIEFA held on the 22 August was a great night of celebration. It brought together Pasifika groups from all the local primary, intermediate and secondary schools to share performances and community. The Waitaki Boys’ High School Pasifika group performed several songs, and we look forward to seeing them perform and enjoy the Poly Fest in the coming weeks.

It has been encouraging to follow the progress of our sports teams who have been competing at the Winter Tournament Week at various locations around the country. Please refer to our schools' sports Facebook page for specific results and achievements.

It is always exciting to see the achievements of our old boys. Check out the latest old boy, Nathan Smith, who has been contracted by Cricket New Zealand:

We currently are looking for families willing to host homestay students. This is a great opportunity to host students who are attending our school, while experiencing the New Zealand culture and way of life. If you want to consider this, please contact the school office.

With only a few weeks left in the term, let's continue to strive for excellence in everything we do. I encourage our boys to stay focused, support one another, and make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community.
