Polyfest 2021
156 hours of practice afterschool and P2 on Fridays and a day in the holidays cooking as a fundraiser, all culminated in an amazing performance at Polyfest on the 21st of October.
A special thanks to the teachers and parents who helped with the fundraiser, to make hoodies and sew the uniform the boys wore. It was such a blessing to see the community working together to support our Boys, it was an absolute delight and privilege to be part of. Otago Polyfest operated under Level 2 criteria and was the only Polyfest that was able to take place in New Zealand this year. Our senior boys, led excellently by Adrian Tevao, worked together to create a programme that contained songs and dance from each of the beautiful Island nations represented here at school; Fiji, Samoa, The Cook Islands, Tuvalu and Tonga. The boys worked so hard and the end performance was a result of this. They produced an amazing, nearly flawless performance on the night, bringing tears to many eyes, representing themselves, their families and the school with pride and excellence.
