Keeping up with the Community Association!

The Waitaki Boys Community Association had their monthly meeting last Tuesday night. The meeting was a "Welcome Night". Highlights: a $20,000 donation from the Uniform Shop! Five 2019 Prefects talked about the Waitakian year, sharing about both cultural and sporting events, special awards, and some of their own highlights. They happily answered questions for parents present. Thanks so much Alejo Lianares (Head of Lee), Thomas Fielding (Head Boy), Jacob Pledger (Deputy Head Boy), Jackson Smith (Head of Forrester) and Lochie Calder (Peer Support Leader) for coming along! Everyone was entertained with a medley of songs performed on the School's Organ in the Hall of Memories by Mr Hinds, very impressive! Head Boy Thomas also played a rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and Toto's "Africa". This was followed by Coffee and Cake - especially enjoyed by the Prefects!
