For the second year WBHS has sent a team of boys to the Otago Southland Secondary School Waterskiing Champs.

The championship was held at Perkins Pond near Millers Flat.

This year saw a young but keen crew of three, Jackson McHoull (year 9), Jakob Cunningham (year 10) & Jai Rawson (year 9) taking part under the WBHS umbrella.

All boys were new to competitive skiing and handled the novice course well. The weather certainly made things challenging with hail, heavy rain, cold winds and then a brief glimpse of sunshine. The weather didn't dampen the boys spirits though and they all completed both rounds of competition.

Jakob was placed a very impressive 1st in the Novice grade, followed by Jai in 5th and Jackson in 6th.
