Damien Miller was one of about 80 people who took part in the recent Junior FMG Young Farmer of the Year Aorangi contest at the North Otago AMP Show.

It was run alongside the Young Farmer of the Year regional final, challanging pairs of secondary school pupils to complete rural related tasks as quickly as possible. 

Damien won the individual award for Aorangi Junior Young Famer of the Year. He earned the title based on the marks from judges at each task for manners, attitude and overall behaviour.
