Prefect Role: Peer Support Prefect / Head of Forrester

Why did I want to become a prefect?

Since year 9 I have looked up to the prefects and have always seen them as role models to the rest of the school. I saw becoming a prefect as an opportunity to help encourage other boys to do their best and be a role model for other boys.

What is my role/what can I bring to the role?

I am the Peer Support prefect and Head of Forrester house. As Peer Support prefect I hope to help build up the relationships between the junior boys and the seniors. Our goal as a team is to help boys feel safe and welcome at school and they always feel like they have someone to talk to. My goal as head of Forrester is to help encourage all the boys to get involved in as many house activities as possible and help build the house spirit amongst the boys.

What are my interests?

My main interest is Football and have now been in the first 11 for 3 years. I also enjoy Mountain biking, adventure racing and Tennis. At the end of this year, I am planning to go to university to hopefully do engineering.

Goals for 2022

To gain NCEA level 3 at merit and for Forrester house to win the Scrano shield after coming 1st equal last year.
