Back on the 19 of March the Level 2 Graphics class went on a field trip to various show homes around Oamaru.

We are designing a house for our Level 2 assessment and this trip was for research. We visited McBrimar and David Reid homes. This experience provided us with a more professional approach to our design work and gave us new ideas to use in our design project and ultimately allowed us to make more informed decisions with our own designs.

We learn about how houses are built, features that can be used to make them more desirable and how the layout can be designed to optimize modern living. We visited a number of houses that were under different stages of construction, which allowed us to get a better understanding of how modern homes are built.

We all enjoyed the trip and want to thank Mike at McBrimar, Aaron at David Reid and Mr Suter for their help.
