Today students from WBHS joined forces with SKC and WGHS to demand climate justice from our Government and local council.

The call for action was heard across the country, with hundreds of thousands joining on the streets to demand real, meaningful change. The strike here in Waitaki demanded to see more commitments made to our Pacific Island Neighbours and protect their homeland from the containing sea level rise, a reduction in Agricultural Emissions and the implementation of climate education within schools.

Well done to the boys that went along to represent our school today, your passion is incredible, and speaking up for what you believe in. We’re excited to see what happens down the track, and hope to see some action taken from today.
