Sam Senior - Sport Prefect

My role involves keeping the culture of Waitaki Sports as good as it always is and encouraging all boys to give sport a go.

What are your goals for the year? 

What Do you want to Achieve and what have you already achieved?( base this around ur role)

Get the red and black army at as many sports at St Kevin's interschool week as possible

Just to help the school have a really good and positive sporting year in general. A lot of the schools first teams are really young so this year will be a good year for a lot of the younger boys to get some experience for the near future, and play with the same young group for the next couple years.

What is one thing you want to leave behind once you leave school?

Help build a strong sporting culture that will help the school sports teams in many years to come.

Who is your inspiration in your day to day life? And why ( doesn’t have to be school based)

I don’t really have an inspiration for my day to day life but I do have a favorite basketball player which is Chris Paul who is one of the best leaders in all of sports and will do anything he can to win which is what I aspire to do when I play basketball as well. He is always the smallest player on the court and is often one of the least athletic players, but is very smart and has a good understanding of the game, which shows me that even if you are disadvantaged in some way there is always another way around things to get things done, whether that’s on the basketball court or in general life.
