Sports Round-up

WBHS Sport —

FOOTBALL:

Waitaki Boys u18 football side took on Timaru boys in what was a pretty one sided affair on Saturday. Waitaki dominated the ball for the whole 90 minutes with our keeper only having one shot put against him. We had the ball always in dangerous areas but sadly were not able to execute our shots with several shots going either over the goal or beside it. James Robinson scored 2 goals (1 being a penalty which was brilliantly won by Zahran Hidayat. As well as 1 goal each going to Riki Bush, Jack Whipp and Tom Fielding. Final score being 5-0. James Pettitt had a brilliant debut at left back and so did Jack Whipp up front.

Our 2nd XI hockey team who compete in the North Otago Senior competition on Saturdays had their first game this weekend. The team got off to a great start with a 8 - 0 win over the WGHS Development team.
