On Thursday the 19th a junior volleyball team went to Timaru for the Aoraki Secondary Schools Junior Volleyball Championships.

The team of Year 9 & 10 students played 5 games in total. 

Games were firstly played against Timaru Girls', Craighead A, Roncalli, and Ashburton 2. The Ashburton 2 game was extremely close and went to three sets. At the end of pool play our team was first in our pool, winning all of the above games including at least one game that went to 3 sets. Great sportsmanship was shown by all and some very impressive skills. 

For the final we played against the Ashburton 1 team from the other pool. Ashburton ending up winning the game, but a very well deserved 2nd place in 1st division was gained at the tournament. There is some incredible talent in this team for the future.
